GHD Hassall Strategy & Evaluation provides a suite of interrelated  services for government and industry clients.

Consultation, Communication & Facilitation

Consultation and communication are core to most of our activities. Drawing on our extensive networks and understanding of the issues and people, we use methods suited to the purpose, including:

• Facilitation of workshops and presentations;
• Organisation of community forums;
• Interviewing (face-to-face, telephone, postal, focus groups);
• Focus group interviewing;
• Broader contact (newsletters, publications); and
• Development of communication strategies and plans.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Social, economic and environmental (‘triple bottom line') analyses and impact assessments for and of policies, programs and projects.   Our evaluation services include evaluation design, program performance (end-point, mid-term and assessment reviews), risk analysis (to identify areas of potential failure and adapt management prior to commencing a project), indicators and evaluation training.

Project Planning & Design

Our project design services aid in designing projects to meet the desired outcomes of key stakeholders. Project planning can be done using evaluation frameworks to provide an overall project and evaluation plan to deliver on and monitor outcomes.

Adoption Pathways

Our team is experienced in assessing needs and developing approaches for knowledge and learning systems and stakeholder partnerships to enhance adoption of management practices.

Policy

Drawing on the above services and our knowledge of policy we consult for, review and advise on the design and implementation of policy instruments for natural resource management.

NRM Planning

Development of integrated natural resource management plans at property, catchment and regional scales.

Project Management

Overall management, logistics and reporting of projects, programs or other initiatives.

• Developing an Action Plan for Future Dairy RD&E Infrastructure for the Dairy Moving Forward Committee.
• Managing the 5 year research project Making Successful Investments in NRM Practice Change for Land & Water Australia. 
• Managing the EMS Pathways Programme for the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry
• Performance Story Evaluation of NRM Investments in the ACT, QMDC and Hunter NRM Regions for the Natural Heritage Trust
• Forest Sinks Workshop Series for the Australian Greenhouse Office. 
• Evaluations of the National Program for Sustainable Irrigation, Cooperative Venture for Capacity Building, Sugar Industry Travel Learning Opportunities Projects and the Joint Venture Agroforestry Program.
