ExperiencePlantations North East Sustainable Riverine Timber StrategyClient - Goulburn Broken CMA & Victorian NPAHassall & Associates were engaged to develop a report to inform an expansion of mixed species eucalypt plantations on previously cleared land within the floodplain areas of the Goulburn-Broken Catchment in northern Victoria. The project involved an extensive review of the literature and scoping of the relevant issues related to social, economic and environmental impacts. The final report will inform the strategic direction for progressing plantation development in the region and assess the likely contribution to catchment targets relating to revegetation, salinity, biodiversity and greenhouse, whilst providing new income streams for landholders.
